Milan Salone Del Mobile (Furntiure Show) has just started and I thought I’d give you a sneak peek of what’s going on with the latest shots from our on location Field Notes photographer – Felix Forest.
First stop is Spazio Rossana Orlandi – a must see to anyone going to the show.
Rossana is an institution in Milan with her old converted tie factory not only showcasing the best new talent in furniture, art and design, but also serving up real home-cooked Italian cuisine daily between 12-4pm.
During the Salone Del Mobile week her famous courtyard and store gets jammed with new furniture launches and installations – and is generally packed with heaps of design hunters making the pilgrimage – so beware of the crowds! Go either early or late in the day is my recommendation.
In any case check out the installations this year – including launches from Se, Gionata Gatto, Mike Thompson, Frederique Morrel, Piet Hein Eek and more.
