High Drama Homewares by Jean Paul Gaultier

Internationally renowned fashion and fragrance icon Jean Paul Gaultier has teamed up with French fabric house Lelie’vre on an adventurous collection of fabrics and accessories for the home that live up to the designer’s playful reputation.

In my line of work, I see acres of textiles on a regular basis and this range, titled “Ca c’est Paris!”  I must admit, caused quite the stir.

Echoing Gaultier’s trademark navy stripes and pin-up aesthetic, the new range sits in an exciting world where Parisian haute couture and interior design collide. It plays with an evolving creativity, featuring eight completely different textile designs offering everything from funky to bright, soft to daring, each new look reflecting the changing seasons in Paris.

The year of the dragon is referenced with a re-interpretation of Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic Chinese dragon design, while a nod to the humble fishnet stocking (cabaret anyone?) and Scottish tartan makes for a surprising range.

This exciting collection also includes eclectic throws, curtains and rugs exuding eccentricity with elegance.
