Trends Of 2018: Ripe Red

From ripe red to dusty pink, Maison et Objet in January 2018 was overflowing with clashing berry tones, making it a trend to watch out for in 2018.

Spanish furniture designers Ondarreta lead the pack with a raspberry pink stand, the outer covered in shades of pink paper scales to great effect.

Furniture on show was upholstered in soft pink with red stained timber legs and rich shiraz coloured cushions.  The combination of pinks was a visual feast.

Eno Studio France exhibited one of my fave wall sconces, the brass Plus Wall Lamp on a dark dusty red wall, the combination of brushed gold brass and red feeling like total luxury.

Ligne Roset, ever the leader in French modern luxury, displayed a range of mid-century warm red, brown, and orange tones on everything from upholstery to rug textiles, and all in one room. The effect is adventurous, but oh so liveable.
