A Hamptons Sanctuary by Coco Republic Interior Design

The Clarendon Display Home ‘Boston’ is an expansive standalone home with a complementary two-bedroom Guest Flat located in Sylvania Waters. With the client’s brief of sand to sea palette, this home was furnished by Joy Simonsen, seasoned interior designer for Coco Republic to imbue a Hampton-like sanctuary that complements its picturesque waterfront surroundings.

The ‘Boston’ is reminiscent of a luxury boutique hotel while retaining the tranquil feel of a family home. The grand sweeping entry, coffered ceilings and fresh white walls accent the half-height v groove panelling and decorative Herringbone floors.

A natural stone fireplace sits alongside the elegant Coco Republic ‘Ashley’ sofa’s and ‘Knox’ coffee table in the living, adding subtle sophistication to the space. Max Sparrow ‘Marne’ dining chairs with their oversized black studding detail and ‘Blossom’ table lamp enrich the dining room, while the ‘Knox’ desk brings an air of masculinity to the guest room.

In the main bedroom, Estelle Bedside tables and Bastille Mirror add further allure, while the Granny Flat provides a space of coastal harmony with the Axelle Rug and Miami Dining chairs in Natural. The Grand Alfresco area is enhanced by the contemporary ‘Architect’ Sofa and Chairs, Georgetown coffee table and side table in Natural teak, Amalfi Dining Table and St Martins white bench seats. A ‘Bahamas’ Rug in Navy and White Stripe complete the tranquil setting.

Ornamental wallpapers and custom-designed curtains with contrast pale grey hems were selected to subtly elevate the home. Other furnishing fabrics are in predominately soft-toned natural linens and highly decorative patterns, classic stripes and weaves for scatter cushions and textured plains for large upholstered pieces.

Many Coco Republic décor pieces were integral to the luxurious ambience of the home. Classic and contemporary features are perfectly balanced throughout, with Coco Republic’s Natural Curiosities ‘Ethereal Landscape’ wall print sitting against the silvery cast resin frame of the oversized decorative Oly San Francisco Petro Mirror. Subtle coastal elements were introduced through a calm palette of soft taupes, navy blue hints, sea green and the White resin ‘Meri’ bowl and Komodo shells. ‘Nobu’ Teak Platters and Belle Madison Candles complete the brief, while Alor Coral pieces and Artemis marble trays in the bathrooms heighten its natural splendour.
