Paola Sofa with Montmarte chair

Available online now with full lighting and rug collections landing June 2020, the new Winter Collection returns to timeless elegance and contemporary form synonymous with European style but made for the quintessential Australian and New Zealand lifestyles. Reminiscent of a Parisian penthouse, we see a return to classic with curved silhouettes and effortlessly elegant designs as accent pieces. A minimalist alpine interior style inspires statement pieces for more modern environments.

Anthony Spon-Smith, Coco Republic Creative Director & Co-Owner, says of the new Winter collection, “Our new Winter line is one that I’m excited about. We’ve taken some of my best selling outdoor chair designs and made them relevant in an interior environment with indoor materials that speak to a layered, comfortable home.

This collection also sees one of our biggest new lighting releases to date with new sofa and recliner additions that I’m confident will resonate with our clients. We’ve been designing a greater proportion of our collection and we have some beautifully designed and crafted storage, tables and dining chairs for the seasonal introduction.”

He continues, “Having just opened in New Zealand mid last year, the alpine environments inspired a modern aesthetic that we wanted to bring more into our collections. There is so much to love about the detail and elegance reminiscent of a Parisian or Amsterdam apartment so we’re balancing the two flavours in this new release.”

Coco Republic’s Winter collection harnesses layered textures, natural elements and new season lighting designs to create a home that is warm, comfortable and inviting. Textural elements include pieces in modern boucle, soft sheepskin, tactile wools and velvets, as seen in new upholstery, rug, textile and décor categories.

While Coco Republic introduces new lighting collections in classic and contemporary designs in ceiling, floor and lamp categories creating ambiance for the Winter nights. A play on detail sees new case goods in beautifully designed fluted glass, hammered and polished metals and ivory faux shagreen.

Accent Chairs:

“I’ve reimagined some of my favourite design moments from Summer to be relevant to Winter. The Montmartre and Breu Chairs have been wrapped in a new charcoal boucle fabric that looks incredible indoors, whilst the Poho Chair is another standout accent chair featured in new warm leather,” says Anthony Spon-Smith.

These accent chairs can also be custom ordered in a wide selection of fabrics, velvets and leathers to suit any interior.

Deep Sofas:

Drawing inspiration from the Queenstown ski lodge or Aspen chalet where a connection to the great outdoors and above all a sense of comfort became a guiding principle, standout new sofas include the Marta Modular Sofa and Paola Sofa. Comfort is key with scale a careful consideration. The Marta is a contemporary, Italian inspired, low slung modular sofa whilst the Paola it is a deep sofa with generous proportions and the textural aesthetic of ivory sheepskins.

The new Yves Sofa in washed linen options is a beautiful addition to the collection with a curved silhouette and rounded cushions.

Recliners:

Within the Estancia lines, there are two new Coco Republic leather recliners, where the focus is on design and elevated comfort without sacrificing style. A slimline standout is the Barker Recliner Chair and a denser design is the Carlos Recliner Chair. These chairs are the must-have accessory for après-ski relaxation or end of day lounging.

Dining:

New dining chair designs include the chic Avalon Dining Chair teamed up with the Block Dining Table making an impact in dining areas. The new Phoenix Dining Chair in vegan leather portrays refined simplicity in its design.

Casegoods:

With a wide selection of casegoods available in the new Winter release, a striking introduction to the living or dining room is the new Isabelle line, highlighting a supreme balance of metal and exquisite fluted glass.

Lighting:

Setting the mood for Winter, Coco Republic introduces an extensive range of pendant lights, floor lamps and table lamps. The lighting collection is realised in timeless quality materials such as aged brass, bronze, natural stone and glass.

Standouts include the Eddie Glass Dome Pendant perfectly positioned over a kitchen island bench or the versatile glass Droplet Pendant. The oversized Dome Pendant in aged brass or bronze makes a statement above a living room or round dining. Classic, transitional designs fill out the floor lamp assortment, including the Library Floor Lamp and Arthur Floor Lamp with marble base. For the more trend-seeking stylist, the Aleka Table and Floor Lamp accent beautifully in marble and steel.

Textiles; Rugs & Throws:

Adding layering to your home this Winter, Coco Republic introduces four new textile collections that feel as luxurious as they look. The stunning Mini Chevron Wool Throw enriches comfort and warmth at home, while the bold Oversized Faux Fur Throw is the definition of cool-season luxe.

The Winter Rug Collection introduces five stunning new ranges, each uniquely curated to suit a range of different interior styles. The Maroc Jute Rug is bold-take on a classic Moroccan design, with a contemporary edge in natural jute, while the Sophia Rug is a classic rug design delicately realised in soft pastels, applied using state-of-the-art screen printing techniques. The Renoir Rug, like an abstract watercolour in cool tones, feels irresistible underfoot.

Bedroom:

Creating renewed interest in the bedroom, the stunning Blaire Panelled Bed is available in two design options (horizontal and vertical panel) showcased in high-quality velvet or available to custom order in over 50 upholstery options, and the Siena Bedside Table in ebonized oak/bronze will make one never want to leave their bedroom.
