It’s my favourite time of the year again – when the count down to celebrating Australia’s most adventurous, stylish and unforgettable interior designers begins.
After a grueling entry and judging process, the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards, now in their fourth year, have announced the finalists from the categories of Residential Design, Hospitality Design, Commercial Design, Corporate Design and of course, the coveted Interior Designer of the Year.
As always, the judging criteria included remarkable innovation in design, quality of execution and fulfillment of the client brief. The judging panel this year included Coco Republic Coco Republic Executive director Anthony Spon-Smith, Belle Editor-in-chief Neale Whitaker and interior designer and blogger Dana Tomic-Hughes. The awards’ international judge is celebrated New York-based designer and retailer Jonathan Adler.

Looking over the finalists in this month’s May Issue of Belle Magazine I’ve seen some incredibly impressive work from both familiar faces and from a couple of new kids on the block. It’s always inspiring to see our favourite Australian designers continuing to push the standards higher and higher while also discovering new talent making waves in the industry.
Explore some of the finalists work below, and feel free to leave comments in the section underneath. I’d love to hear what everyone loves the most!
