Bondi Butcher- La Macelleria

Ok, so I’m biased because I live, and love living, in Bondi, but me aside, many are pitching this new butcher as one of the best in Sydney and they’re not wrong.

Following in the same wake as Victor Churchill in Woolhara, La Macelleria boasts high quality meat at it’s best. The experience is what you want… old school butchers that know their meat (wearing white coats to give you extra confidence) lead by the experienced Swedish butcher Erik Janssen, serving the best organic, hormone and preservative-free meat around.

Italian Opera booms from the sound system, popular Australian cookbooks are on offer, computer games for the kids and you can even make your own coffee if you like. The interiors are a kind of ‘Italian country home meets Stockholm apartment’ which all adds to the vibe. My wife and I go at least twice a week, and with the new addition of a chicken rotisserie, I can’t see that habit stopping.
