For many of us in Australia, the Easter holiday is about the four big F’s – family, friends, food and fun.
I know in my household, it’s the perfect excuse to cook up a storm for the extended relatives – nearly always a lunch occasion, out in the garden, enjoying the last of the warmth before winter well and truly kicks in.
Easter decorating is always the most fun. I tend to stick with whites and pastels in my home – keeping the theme soft, casual and day-time. I choose delicate clusters of small floral arrangements for the table and always have fun with the a little plate decoration on each setting – like a feather or natural piece of hemp to keep in theme. I’ve never been one to get too kitsch when it comes to bunnies and egg motifs, but if I was going to, I’d choose the elegant Rabbit Bust from Oly as a table center piece and paint some eggs in ombre shades of blue and green.
