When fashion and interior worlds collide, they often create iconic spaces. Like many fashion elite (Missoni, Ralph Lauren & Versace) Diane von Furstenberg stands out as one designer who manages to get the balance so right.
Diane’s latest interior collaboration is the DVF Penthouse at Hayman Island, offering spectacular uninterrupted views over Hayman Beach to the crystal waters of the Coral Sea. Hayman Managing Director, Lloyd Donaldson, said it was an honour and a privilege to showcase one of the most prominent brands in the world of fashion and design on the island.
“Diane von Furstenberg has always been held in such high esteem and we are delighted she has chosen to bring her incredible style, elegance and creativity to this new premium accommodation on Hayman.”
With a contemporary, light and fresh feel – this penthouse showcases a mix of Diane’s signature prints and patterns. Set against bleach sand coloured walls with vivid white highlights and bleached European Oak timber flooring, the designer space features contemporary Diane von Furstenberg rugs and accessories, providing a mix of vibrant colours and textures, and also showcases a selection of Diane’s personal photographic artworks.
The master bedroom features an American Oak four-poster bed; ensuite bathroom with luxurious Apaiser stone freestanding bath and separate double rainwater shower; Koda lighting and custom cabinetry throughout.
“It was such a pleasure to work with Hayman. It is such a special destination and I hope my design will enhance the beauty of the island and give the people staying in the DVF Penthouse a memorable moment,” said Diane von Furstenberg.
