Situated on a beautiful oak tree lined street is Balwyn House, the latest project by Fiona Lynch.
A finalist last year in the residential interiors category for the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards, Fiona Lynch is well and truly among Melbourne’s top design studios.
This new project was a new residence, constructed by a builder for his young family. The studio completed the build, taking a minimal approach to the interiors. The result is reflective, relaxing and refreshingly modern.
High end, artistic and with a hint of moodiness.
Minimal materials such as concrete, timber and stone were used throughout with accents of aged brass and grey stained oak cabinetry. Warm elements balance the cool. Limewash walls are unexpected in a family home but work brilliantly. Teal and indigo accents enhance the light palette to add interest. Flowing drapes, interesting artwork and decor pieces add a pop of sophisticated colour. It’s nothing short of elegant in a contemporary setting.
Furniture and lighting sourced locally and internationally completes the interior, creating understated yet luxurious spaces that the whole family can enjoy.
