In celebration and acknowledgement of Australia’s interior design talent, the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2013 showcased the industry’s top design professionals their undeniably world-class work in the interior design field.
At a champagne reception at the Coco Republic Design Centre in Alexandria, Sydney, the ultimate accolade – Belle Coco Republic Interior Designer of the Year – was awarded to Melbourne’s Hecker Guthrie.
According to Belle editor-in-chief Neale Whitaker, the Hecker Guthrie’s work ‘has taken Australian interior design and decoration
in an intriguing new direction, which is as refined as it is industrial and as glamorous as it is raw. Their body of work is consistently fresh and directional.’
Hecker Guthrie will receive two return flights to Maison et Objet, Paris, plus a package of prizes including Parisi bathroom products, a Smeg fridge and generous vouchers from both Cadrys and Coco Republic.
The category winners were as follows:
Residential – Greg Natale Design (Sydney);
Hospitality – Pascale Gomes-McNabb; (Melbourne);
Commercial – George Livissianis (Sydney);
and Corporate – Foolscap Studio (Melbourne).
Now in its third year and with the largest number of entrants to date, the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards has become a significant event on Australia’s interior design calendar.
