Paris to NYC: Melbourne City Living

Four years in the making, Mirvac’s latest development ARRAY in Melbourne is simply stunning. Luxury apartments, situated to the south of the city with panoramic cosmopolitan views. For the city slicker, it doesn’t get better than this.

The project was headed by Rohan Smith, one of the senior designers for Coco Republic Interior Design. Each apartment is modelled on the world’s most desirable cities; New York, Paris and London, and the penthouse is breathtaking, styled by celebrated fashion illustrator Megan Hess with bespoke Coco Republic pieces.

The New York apartment takes inspiration from the city with grey tones mixed with black, white and silver to enhance a strong, contemporary aesthetic. Rohan and his team used dark timbers, hints of black metal and clean lines in the selected furniture whilst black and white photography and oversized pieces of art create a gallery feel. The scheme incorporated minimalism to reflect its NYC inspiration, with sculptural decor enriching the moody interior.

Taking cues from the French capital and city of love, the scheme is classic and elegant. The design focused on natural textures with mirrored and metallic accents for a soft, feminine aesthetic. Furnishings were timeless with detailing such as nailhead trim and deep buttoning. Pieces from Coco Republic and exclusive international brand Oly San Francisco, enhanced a sense of luxury throughout the apartment.

In the East Penthouse by Megan Hess, bespoke Coco Republic pieces from exclusive international brands Oly San Francisco, Jonathan Adler and Timothy Oulton exude luxury. Warm metallics and rich colours paired with neutrals help achieve a sense of opulence worthy of such a penthouse.
