In one of Sydney’s most iconic suburbs, there is a new dining hotspot in town thanks to celebrated chef Bill Granger. Featuring a fresh and exciting interior by Meacham Nockles McQualter, Bills at Bondi Beach is now open.
This year Granger celebrates 20 years of success since the opening of the first Bills in Darlinghurst. The name is an institution in itself – drawing crowds in particular for weekend brunch. I cannot wait to visit the new Bondi Beach location.
Complementing the beach side locale, the exciting interior exudes coastal charm mixed with a distinct urban vibe. The feeling is unpretentious – light, airy and spacious. Another fantastic interior to add to the portfolio for Sydney studio Meacham Nockles McQualter, whose design prowess extends to London, Hawaii and Japan.
The combination of marble surfaces and timber textures is simple yet sophisticated. Interesting lighting illuminating the bar, wooden ceilings, raw concrete pillars, metallic tableware and rattan dining chairs all add a point of difference.
With a superb outdoor space and bar, the relaxed modern menu extends itself to casual lunch with sandy feet or a family feast by night. And Gelato Messina is right next door!
