Melbourne just can’t stop talking about the launch of Australia’s first Oly San Francisco concept store on Church Street, Richmond. The exquisite Oly furniture and homewares collection came alive last Wednesday at an enchanted evening of cocktails, canapés and masked magical creatures.
The evening kicked off at 6:30pm, at the new Oly showroom at 488 Church Street, Richmond, where guests were greeted with a glass of Veuve Clicquot and encouraged to don exclusively designed Oly masks and fancy feather accessories. Floral installations of willow, hydrangeas and orchids adorned every setting while fully grown maple trees and silver birch added to the fairytale forest feel of the evening. On the menu was a food spectacular designed by Celebrity chef George Colombaris and the team at the new Mamababa restaurant as well as a cocktail selection by hot Melbourne bar, the Everleigh.
At an opening address by Vogue Editor in chief, David Clark announced the evening was “one of the most important furniture launches in Australia in the last few years”.
In obvious agreement were the 250 special guests including Melbourne architects, interior designers, creatives and Oly admirers who flooded to Richmond to celebrate the exciting new Oly concept store and collection.
