Seaside Sanctuary: Larvotto Turn Wins Best Display Home

I was thrilled to hear that one of my recent Coco Republic Interior Design projects, Larvotto Turn, won Overall Best Display Home and Best Display Home Over $650,000 at the Master Builders Housing Excellence Awards.

We were engaged to create the display home for Grandwood for a growing family in Burns Beach, WA, and wanted to bring in a sophisticated coastal scheme that reflected the beautiful beachside location.

The level of design detail in construction and architecture was remarkable and to complement, we created a high end fit out whilst considering the presence of children in the home.

The scheme features neutral colours in materials such as oak, linen and leather with varying shades of coastal blues. The look is timeless with seaside charm and nautical accents, where a family can add their own personality.

We incorporated a large pendant light suspended in the foyer to create drama and emphasise scale.  Wallpaper was used to create striking features in the bedrooms and rumpus including grassweave, timber and blossom designs. The glamourous master bedroom with hotel-worthy ensuite and dressing room was a highlight.

The brief included a ‘man cave’ adjoining the pool and entertaining area, and we created a men’s sanctuary complete with a ping pong table, basket ball hoop, dart board, sports imagery and a giant mural of Muhammad Ali.
