Introducing Timothy Oulton’s Ultimate Sloucher

Embodying the essence of 21st century cool, the       Timothy Oulton Shabby Modular Sofa is the epitome of effortless sophistication and understated style. In the same vein as a leather jacket and a pair of jeans, the Shabby is stylish in any setting, without ever trying too hard.

Known as Timothy Oulton’s ultimate sloucher, Shabby’s relaxed yet sculpted silhouette hugs the body, with a generously deep seat and the perfect ergonomic rake for true lounging. Its signature wide channel-stitching lends a sleek, casual look that is at once both classic and contemporary.

“The Shabby is one of my favourites because it’s just so ridiculously comfortable – it has a relaxed sophistication,” says Timothy Oulton. “I appreciate the shape, the quality of the leather and of course the name. We called it Shabby because it’s the ultimate slouch couch, you can sit how you want, relax in whichever way you like – it has this ‘I don’t care’ attitude about it.”

The Shabby is available in 28 hand-finished leathers, 9 velvets and 10 linens. It is also available in 1, 2, 3 and 4 seaters, a chaise, corner module, footstool and a coffee table. Shabby also comes in curved modules to create the Shabby Curve, ideal for social seatings when you are hosting friends and family.

The Five Shabby Styles

1. Classic

In Savage leather, Shabby takes on classic styling with a timeless edge. Earthy tones offer a warmth and richness that welcomes all, while heavy hand-washing adds unique and authentic character.

2. Black is Black

In Destroyed Black leather, Shabby takes on a more industrial persona for edgier urban dwellings. Destroyed Black is buffed by hand once upholstered, to give an aged look to certain parts of the piece. This gives Shabby an authentically worn and unpretentious look that still feels polished and luxe.

3. The Casual Vagabond

In Vagabond leather, the Shabby Curve reveals its rugged side. Vagabond is painstakingly treated by hand over and over again to create an authentically distressed look. It is available in five vintage tones: Red, Mustard, Blue, Black and Brown.

4. Pure

When swathed in Woven Linen Ash, Shabby evokes the laid-back vibe of the coast, offering a tranquil landing pad in light and airy interiors. This pure 100% linen has a solid, thickly-woven texture that feels extremely soft to the touch for a casual yet luxurious look.

5. Glamour

When sheathed in decadent Faded & Degraded ‘Melting Paisley’ velvet, the Shabby embodies Parisian Art Deco chic. The faded damask pattern is inspired by the wallpaper in grand old buildings, overlaid with spontaneous splatters of ink for a modern, expressive viewpoint.
