Florence Broadhurst is the creative ignition to Kate Spade New York’s collection for 2012. Prim with a rebellious edge, the collection encapsulates Florence’s spirit: delicious summer dresses and perfectly tailored short suits – fit for garden parties – are off-set by quirky cool accessories like neon-bright sandals and pop colour clutches in zesty hues.
Deborah Lloyd found while delving into the Broadhurst archive, inspiration came, not only from the notoriously divine botany – derived prints but also from the artist herself.
A great collaboration as said by the ‘Lipstick Queen’ herself, Poppy King at the launch:
“ There is not often when you walk into a event in the fashion heart of New York city when Australians rule the roost and are the epitome of chic but the Florence Broadhurst for Kate Spade event was one of those times. What I always knew came true! I always suspected that Australia had so much heritage design which the US would love and I was right. Congratulations David and Helen from Signature Prints”.
