The Hermitage, Sydney

With an exquisite raw and natural palette, The Hermitage is one of the most stunning properties in Sydney.

Originally built in 1831, it has recently been reimagined by Architecture firm Hess Hoen. The heritage listed home has been owned by the Hemmes family since 1974.

Beautiful sandstone walls, aged brass features and marble offset the steel spiral staircase and curved steel windows. The palette also incorporates soft grey tones in the linens, oak flooring and chevron tiles used.

The renovation kept period details in tact but reimagined spaces to the modern day. Extensive landscaping was completed to allow for a more connected feel between indoors and outdoors.
