The New Black: Alexander Wang Hits Home

2013’s fashion poster-boy Alexander Wang is making waves off the runway with his ultra cool, black-on-black homewares range.

The newly appointed Creative Director of iconic Parisian fashion house Balenciaga and applauded designer of his own highly successful namesake label, Wang hardly seems to have a spare second of the day to dip his toes into other projects.

However, his trademark minimalist androgyny seems to have translated effortlessly into a stylish and surprisingly affordable range.

There’s something for everyone – croc skin coaster set ($60), a very grown-up leather and shearling bear ($225) and my lust-worthy piece: the totally essential inflatable shark pool toy ($40).  Shop the range at Alexander Wang.

And just to add to the eye-candy, see below an exclusive Selby peak into the designer’s NYC studio .
