White Shadows

The secret to white on white interiors is texture. White is usually attributed to being calming and serene, but it can also be adventurous and daring when applied in unusual ways. Light and shadows can replace the need for colour, as the shapes of fabrics, accessories and furniture become almost sculptural.

The application of an all white scheme creates such a striking aesthetic with ice and chalky tones. White is so versatile and the layering of textured furnishings and accessories will give the space a warm and tranquil feel, rather than clinical and stark.

Create depth and story by layering furs and lush fabrics with accents of metallic. Or introduce a summer feel that’s light and airy by using crisp linens, white washed timbers and clean lines. Give living areas vivacity with subtle greenery or winter branches.

Whether the look you are going for is Minimal Zen, Shaker Style, Textural Moroccan or Rustic Chic, white maximises light and always has timeless versatility.
