Timothy Oulton’s phenomenal pendant light takes inspiration as well as its moniker from physics icon Michael Faraday, who discovered the Faraday effect in 1845. This phenomenon represents the effect of a magnetic field on a light beam’s plane of polarization. The Faraday Pendant possesses a bold mix of perforated raw steel enveloped by a smooth clear glass cloche, both nesting inside a raw metal cage. Replicating Faraday’s original discovery, Oulton’s metal cage provides a magnetic field for the light to pass through.
