Elegance Delivered: Huntingtower Road

Coco Republic Interior Design recently completed the furniture and styling for Residence 10 at Huntingtower Road, a project by Orchard Piper.

The building’s presence is discreet — set back from the street, Huntingtower Road has been crafted over two levels in a classic colonnade style structure. Garden-centric living principles guided the architecture, with architects Jolson capturing the essence of Myles Baldwin’s landscape compositions, to carry the gardens inside at every opportunity. 

Having worked on some of the most prestigious residences across Melbourne and regional Victoria in her time with Coco Republic Interior Design, Victorian Commercial Manager Stephanie Sanders can appreciate the opportunity that Huntingtower Road presents.

She comments, "We were attracted by the architecture of the project, and in particular the attention to detail in the interior was designed with natural light, scale and elegance as overarching concept. The Coco Republic aesthetic suited the project beautifully and we delivered homely touches to this graceful and timeless residence."

Stepping inside the homes, every detail, every design element has been carefully considered. Elegant three-metre ceilings and large entranceways lead through to expansive living zones with natural oak floorboards, striking marble and premium finishes throughout. Double basins, deep-set stand-alone bathtubs and custom-designed joinery in neutral tones, create a serene environment to the bathrooms and en-suites, while kitchens feel expansive and generous, with island benches finished in Cȏte D’Azur marble and measuring up to 3m long, making for a commanding presence in the living and entertaining rooms. 

Coco Republic commercial and residential Senior Interior Designer Rohan Smith shares his vision for the scheme in Residence 10 to attract buyer appeal, pairing sophisticated design elements with high end pieces from our collections.

Rohan explains, "The client brief for the fit out at Huntingtower Road was to produce a fresh, contemporary scheme that would appeal to a variety of age groups. The architecture at Huntingtower Road is very distinct, so the pieces had to complement- but not detract from the architectural features inside and out."

"The scheme features pieces with interesting textural elements such as the burnt timber finish of the Asha charred timber console and the antiqued mirror seen in the Arden coffee table. These finishes combined with the natural upholstery fabrics result in a scheme that is more about interest that is provided through the inherent qualities in natural finishes rather than through colour. The same applies to the architecture with its beautiful wide timber floors, marble bathroom and kitchen counter tops and feature fireplace stone."
