  • Lume Cocktail Evening

    Coco Republic were delighted to host a cocktail evening and panel discussion in Brisbane and Melbourne in partnership with DevCorp and Unique Estates. Having recently launched new development Lume in Kangaroo Point to market, the evening offered a discussion on property investment opportunities in the local area and the latest international design trends from Coco Republic. Leading the panel was Nicolette van Wijngaarden of Unique Estates, alongside Toni Thornton of DevCorp and Anthony Spon Smith of Coco Republic. Guests were treated to Pommery champagne with a delectable grazing table of local cheeses and canapes.

  • Design School Annual Awards Night 2016

    The Coco Republic Design School hosted their Annual Awards Night for 2016 in partnership with Vogue Living, recognising excellence in the study of interior decoration and styling.

    Coco Republic Directors Paul Spon Smith and Jeremy Byrne announced the finalists and winners for the course awards whilst Neale Whitaker, Editor-In-Chief of Vogue Living revealed the coveted Vogue Living x Coco Republic Scholarship winner, Jacek Ciok, 2016 student of Interior Decoration Essentials 101.

    The canape menu by L’Americano Espresso Bar had a theatrical touch with test tubes of tomato water, basil oil and goats curd, beef tartare sandwiches with truffle cream and passionfruit bombs. Guests sipped on Pommery Brut Royal as they celebrated their classmates’ achievements.

  • An Evening With Timothy Oulton

    Coco Republic were delighted to host designer Timothy Oulton with an intimate trade event of 100 interior designers, architects and stylists in Melbourne. 


    Launching the new collections by the British designer in the newly refreshed gallery, Timothy Oulton spoke about his love of antiques, his muses and reinventing the old into something new for the modern home. Discussing his unique design process, Timothy explained that each piece is made by hand, using time honoured techniques and simple tools – something which very few designers offer in this day.


    Guests were treated to Veuve Clicquot, Santa Vittoria water and a delectable grazing table of local cheeses, scones with cream and jam, beef yorkshire puddings and delicious vanilla cupcakes adorned with bowler hat and British flag motifs. 


    A local vocalist and guitarist provided the perfect background to a wonderful evening.

  • Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards 2016

    At last night’s 2016 Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards, Australia’s interior design community came together to celebrate and identify the very best in Australian design talent. The Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards is one of Australia’s most prestigious design accolades. The Awards acknowledge excellence in Australian interior design and decoration and set the benchmark for expertise, creativity and vision in what is a highly competitive and progressive industry.


    This year’s Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Awards were dominated by the outstanding projects of designer Fiona Lynch. Fiona took out the top award in three categories: Best Residential Interior for the Balwyn Residence, Best Bathroom Design for the Hargreaves Residence and Belle Coco Republic Designer of the Year 2016. Fiona is the first female winner of the Designer of the Year award in its six year history.


    This year, Belle’s style-director-at-large Steve Cordony transformed Coco Republic’s Alexandria showroom evoking a modern geometric theme with hits of ultramarine blue to the delight over 250 industry and media guests.


    The winners in this year’s awards represent an Australian design landscape that is known for its unique, fresh and challenging aesthetic. The rigorous selection process has resulted in a stellar list of winners who have produced impressive and innovative work across residential, commercial and hospitality sectors.


    This year’s judging panel included Timothy Oulton, founder and director of Timothy Oulton, publisher and design expert, Karen McCartney, Coco Republic executive directors, Anthony Spon Smith and Jeremy Byrne, Dinosaur Designs creative director, Louise Olsen, Belle editor Tanya Buchanan and Belle’s style director-at-large, Steve Cordony.

  • Meet Your Designers | Harold Park By Mirvac

    Mirvac in partnership with Coco Republic hosted an exclusive Meet Your Designer evening at the flagship Alexandria showroom on Thursday 5th May. Purchasers of the exciting Harold Park development were given the opportunity to discuss maximising their floorplan with an experienced team of Coco Republic interior designers. With a decadent grazing table by L'Americano Espresso Bar, guests were treated to a delicious spread of local cheese, charcuterie and crostini, whilst sipping Pommery champagne.

  • The Urban Developer | The Forces Driving Retail

    In a rare and exclusive event held at Coco Republic Fortitude Valley showroom on Thursday 14th April, The Urban Developer presented The Forces Driving Retail in 2016; Demographics, Digital, Dining and Development.

    Three of Australia’s leading retail minds converged to share their thoughts on the biggest factors shaping retail development and investment in 2016. The speakers were Matthew Creagh of Marquette Properties, Tony Dimasi of Macroplan and Francis Loughran of Future Food, moderated by Adam Di Marco of The Urban Developer.

    The presentation saw a 110-industry strong crowd of investors, developers and professionals join us in the inspirational International Gallery. The talk focused on a breakdown of the key trends, disruptive technologies, behavioural changes and market factors shaping the future of retail. 

    Guests were treated to Prosecco on arrival and a delectable spread of local cheeses and artisanal bites.
