Contemporary And Classic Fireplaces To Inspire

What was once a period feature in a home is now something both contemporary and classic. The character detailed fireplace transforms an elegant interior whilst contemporary designs provides the ultimate modern statement.

No matter which road you go down for your home, the fireplace is a beautiful feature to create interest in a living space. It’s what you could call the centre of attention.

I love the look of herringbone or chevron tile around a fireplace. There is something so elegant about the aesthetic the design feature brings to a living room. If tiling isn’t an option, a few coats of white paint can also exude refined sophistication.

My dream fireplace picture is complete with a beautiful light linen sofa and pair of occasional chairs to offer a touch of symmetry. Fresh light blue hydrangeas on the coffee table with a few noteable interiors books and a few treasured pieces on the mantle with a gilded mirror and you have my ideal living space.

For details on how to style your mantle, see my previous post here. Or browse the gallery below for inspiration in your own home.
