Greenery; Colour Of The Year

Pantone have released their top colour picks for 2017, and things are looking fresh and bright. Introducing Greenery: a “tangy yellow-green” inspired by vibrant foliage with an intention to help us all refresh, regenerate and breathe easy in the New Year.

Pantone have showcased 10 different palettes that work best with Greenery, most of which are muted and earthy tones. However a few contrasting schemes enhance the natural accent balancing pretty pastels, metallics, as well as bursts of primary colours for energy and drama.

Add this burst of Greenery to a neutral or monochromatic interior, and accent it with plush fabrics to take it from kitsch to luxurious. Pair it with warm metals like brass and bronze for opulence and sophistication to complement the introduction of this accent against pastels, an earthier colour palette, or a black and white base with light timber accents.

The most refined way to add this vibrant colouring into your home is a natural touch with layers of lush foliage in an oversized vase or an in-vogue floor plant inspired by the tropics. It is summer after all.
