Heritage Style: A Brisbane Home

When this beautiful project came across my desk, I was blown away. Although my style is very contemporary, I immediately fell in love with the timeless scheme, showcasing this classic heritage home in all its glory.

The home is in Clayfield in the inner Northern area of Brisbane and was styled for sale by Coco Republic Property Styling through real estate agency Place. The suburb was instrumental in the residential surge of European settlement in Brisbane, named after the local clay mining industry in the early to mid 1900s and this home has retained beautiful period detailing.

Enhancing great living spaces, a library and fireplaces throughout, the styling maximised buyer appeal with Coco Republic’s signature aesthetic.

Natural linens add beautiful texture – The Dutch Splayed Arm Sofa and Arm Chair are personal favourites.

Enriching the white panelling, light neutrals and natural greens create interest. Artworks and cushions from the British India collection by Australian artist Bethany Linz (exclusive to Coco Republic) feature throughout the home. The soft accents of colour in accessories complement the green aspect of the residence.

Creating continuous flow, the home was presented with a lived in feel and an inviting and welcoming aesthetic that resonated instantly with the market.
