Cancellation & Returns
Australian Consumer Law
The Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with a number of consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded or limited. This Cancellation & Returns Policy is therefore subject to, and will not apply to the extent that, it limits or excludes such consumer guarantees.
Terms and Conditions
This Cancellation & Returns Policy is governed by, and is to be read with, the Coco Republic Terms and Conditions, which are located here.
Cancellations, exchanges and Returns—Online Purchases Only
(a) Subject to any Non-Excludable Rights, this clause applies only to an Order placed by a Customer using the Coco Republic Website and does not apply to in-store purchases or the conversion of in-store generated quotes online using the Coco Republic website.
(b) The Customer may cancel an Order placed online prior to delivery of the Goods.
(c) The Customer may return or exchange an Order placed online on the Coco Republic Website within seven (7) days of the Delivered Order provided that the Goods are returned as new and in their original condition. For the purpose of this clause as new and original condition means the Goods must be in their original packaging, have not been used, installed, altered, damaged, stained or laundered.
(d) Any cancellation, exchange or return under this clause will be provided in the form of a Store Credit. Coco Republic will deduct any costs associated with such exchange or return such as delivery fees from the Store Credit issued.
(e) Store Credits will only be issued once Goods have been received and inspected by Coco Republic and confirmed their conditions is in accordance with clause (c).
(f) In the event Coco Republic collects the Goods and the Goods are not in their original Condition as per clause 3 above, Coco republic reserves the right to reject the return of the Goods. The Customer, at its cost, must either arrange collection of the Goods from the location nominated by Coco Republic or reimburse Coco Republic for re-delivery fees. In the event Goods are not collected within 21 days from the date the Customer has been notified the Goods have not been returned in accordance with clause 3 above Coco Republic reserves the right to donate the Goods with no further liability to the Customer.
(g) Goods, once delivered can be returned in the following manner:
(i) For larger Goods - Coco Republic will arrange for collection from the address the Goods were delivered to.
For the purpose of this clause larger items means goods weighing more than 10kg.
(ii) For smaller items Customers may return directly to their nearest store, or the Customer can opt to courier the item back at their own expense.
For the purpose of this clause smaller items means goods weighing less than 10kg. Artworks, lighting, or rugs, regardless of weight, cannot be returned in store.
(h) In the event Goods are collected by Coco Republic, Coco Republic reserves the right to charge you the same delivery fee charged at the time of purchase. In the event the Goods were purchased during a “free delivery” promotion event Coco republic reserves the right to charge you the cost incurred by Coco republic to collect the Goods being returned.
(i) Coco Republic will not under any circumstances consent to an Order cancellation, exchange or return or provide any Store Credit under this clause in respect of:
(i) Goods that are ex-rental products, clearance products or floor stock products; or
(ii) Goods that are customised to the Customer's preference or are otherwise non-stock or bespoke products.

(k) Subject to any Non-Excludable Rights that may apply to the Customer, all returns for Defective Goods will be dealt with in accordance with clause 8 of Coco Republic’s Terms and Conditions, and no refund or exchange will be provided to the Customer for any change of mind or an error in ordering the Goods, except in accordance with clause 6 of the Terms and Conditions (if applicable).
Policies for orders placed in store:
Cancellation
Subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law:
(a)
We may cancel an order after it has been accepted where we are reasonably required to do so in response to a supply shortage;
(b)
You may not cancel an order after it has been accepted without our consent, which consent will only be granted in extremely limited circumstances at our discretion; and
(c)
We will not under any circumstances consent to an order cancellation or provide any refund or exchange in respect of goods that are ex-rental products, clearance products, floor stock products, or goods that have been customised to your preferences or are otherwise non-stock or bespoke products.
If we consent to the cancellation of your order, and your order contains stocked (non-customised) goods, we will provide you with a Store Credit less a 20% restocking fee to cover our administrative costs and expenses in handling and cancelling the order.
Returns and refunds
Please take care when placing an order on our website or in-store, as we do not offer a refund or exchange for any change of mind or your error in ordering, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Defective goods
All returns for defective goods will be handled in accordance with the Coco Republic Terms and Conditions. You must, as soon as possible after delivery, check whether the goods are defective when delivered. Any defect notices should be given to the Coco Republic Concierge Care Team using the details in this Cancellation & Returns Policy.
Except for any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or the Coco Republic Terms and Conditions, we will not be liable for any defective goods unless you notify us with full details and a description within the period from the time of delivery within which it would be reasonable to expect the relevant defect to be identified or become apparent. If you do not notify us within this time, you are deemed to have accepted the goods.
