Design Spotlight: SHAWOOD North Turramurra by Sekisui House

Design Spotlight: SHAWOOD North Turramurra by Sekisui House

Combining precision engineering with a deep respect for nature, SHAWOOD North Turramurra by Sekisui House redefines modern Australian living. Beautifully furnished and styled by Coco Republic’s Commercial Design team, this North Turramurra display home is a study in harmony, blending architectural innovation with warmth, texture and timeless design. Thoughtful materiality and natural light come together to create an environment that feels both calming and contemporary.

A Home Connected to Nature

Surrounded by mature native landscapes, the interiors of SHAWOOD North Turramurra mirror their natural setting, embodying a lifestyle deeply connected to nature.

Open, serene and intuitively functional, the design embraces a harmonious palette of organic materials: warm timbers, rich sandstone and softly veined marble. Natural linens and tactile upholstery enhance SHAWOOD’s vision of long-life homes that nurture comfort, wellness and calm. Inspired by the surrounding bushland, a tonal colour palette introduces muted greens, earthy neutrals and brushed metallics, layering warmth and depth throughout the home.

Flowing effortlessly from the kitchen, the living area celebrates SHAWOOD’s vision of connected living. With its plush yet practical upholstery in a neutral tone, the Malone Modular Sofa sets a relaxed foundation, while statement, sculptural pieces, like our Veneta Coffee Table in Calacatta marble, lend a sense of quiet luxury.

Layers of soft furnishings and muted metallic accents, such as the Zali Side Table, create visual interest without overpowering the room’s calm aesthetic. The expansive glass doors blur the boundaries between indoors and out, allowing dappled light to filter through and offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery.

At the centre of SHAWOOD’s open-plan layout lies the kitchen, a masterclass in contemporary design and timeless materiality. The Coco Republic team introduced a soft yet sophisticated furnishing palette to pair with the deep brown contemporary cabinetry with eucalyptus green accents and honed stone benchtops.

The generous island anchors the space, offering both a practical workspace and a gathering point for family and friends, while the dining area provides further space for entertaining. In tan vegan leather, the Stuttgart Dining Chairs offset the marble Como Rectangle Dining Table beautifully.

Extending beyond the main living zone, the outdoor entertaining area embodies the Australian lifestyle at its best. Under the warmth of the extended timber-lined ceiling, a fully equipped kitchen and dining space offer the perfect setting for gatherings year-round. Our Tura Carved Stone Rectangle Dining Table is the perfect centrepiece, surrounded by the Malmo Outdoor Dining Chair – a made-to-last design that blends Scandinavian minimalism with Japanese craftsmanship. The design blurs seamlessly into the surrounding garden, with natural textures and clean lines creating continuity between the home’s architecture and landscape.

Carefully designed to ensure lasting beauty and functionality, the interiors of this home reflect SHAWOOD’s construction ethos, where precision engineering, sustainability and longevity inform every decision. Our vision ensured that architectural grandeur and family-led functionality coexist naturally, delivering a home that feels genuinely lived-in and perfect for the Australian lifestyle.
